Good (Halloween) Morning, Internets

Now, despite my caustic attitudes towards specific members and denominations of certain religions, I'm a believer in tolerance. To me, though, fundamentalists (of any sort) belong to no religion and only care about their agenda and how the world fits through their vision of things.

Example:

Photobucket

"Emo's?" I must have missed the part where "Jesus said unto Paul "Ye, thou shalt not take part in thine Taking Back Sunday gathering."

Environmentalists? Loud-Mouthed Women? Liberals? Sports nuts? These people wouldn't know the difference between religion and a Pop Tart.

Hey Myles!

A few months ago, I posted on your blog and offered to send you a coupon code to my new t-shirt website, RizzoTees.com, once it was up and running. My site went live yesterday - have a look at http://www.RizzoTees.com .

As promised, if you're interested in purchasing anything, the coupon code 3JBEE84C will save you 20% off the cost of the shirts. The code expires on 12/31/08. You may share that code with anyone you like, as it will work more than once. If you have any feedback on my site that you'd like to share, I'd love to hear what you think.

Thanks Myles. Happy Halloween!

Best to you,
Rizzo

Geez - not only is this sign offensive to practically everyone, it's also offensive to apostrophes. What did the humble punctuation mark ever do to the radical right??

God, they are hateful.

Love your blog, Myles. Cheers.

It's only offensive to bleeding heart liberals and emos really haha.

Yeah that sign is astonishingly ignorant. Maybe they'll save some of the people on that list the good seats in hell.

You realize the creator of that sign has only done so to make fun of Christians (and make them look bad to those who miss the joke)

You don't actually believe that could have been meant in earnest do you?

I refer you to the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas.

Wow. I'm pretty sure I've actually seen this sign used in earnest in New Orleans. If the neon is any clue, this photo might have actually been taken there. You'll see this kind of crap all over the French Quarter at Halloween and during Southern Decadence (the annual gay pride event in the city). One Halloween I was dressed up as a zombie priest and one guy burst out of the crowd, ran up to me, pointed, and shouted that I was going to hell. (!)

The apostrophe misuse certainly is nearly as offensive.

I agree 100%.

These people are so ridiculous that it's amazing they exists, as Lydia's resistance to the idea indicates.

Zombie priest, eh? Nice.
